Dr. Peter Terzi
Founder & Principal Advisor
Dual-Qualified Nurse & Dentist
Dr Peter Terzi was a dual-qualified registered nurse and dentist with extensive experience across private practice, tertiary hospital environments, and international clinical settings. He has worked within intensive care units across major hospitals in Australia and has contributed to healthcare delivery and education both domestically and abroad, including service with the Royal Australian Navy and advanced clinical training in cardiothoracic and critical care medicine internationally.
Throughout his career, Dr. Terzi has developed a deep understanding of the clinical, operational, and systemic pressures faced by healthcare professionals working in modern healthcare systems. His experience spans high-acuity hospital environments, private practice settings, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams across multiple jurisdictions.
Professional Experience and International Clinical Work
Dr Terzi has held roles in tertiary hospital intensive care units within major Australian healthcare institutions, gaining experience in complex patient management and high-pressure clinical environments. His international work has further expanded his exposure to cardiothoracic and intensive care medicine, contributing to a broad clinical foundation across multiple healthcare systems.
He has also been involved in teaching and professional development initiatives for healthcare practitioners, supporting clinical training and knowledge transfer across different healthcare disciplines.
Regulatory Experience
In 2022, Dr Terzi's professional registration became subject to regulatory review by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), resulting in a period of suspension. His registration was subsequently reviewed through formal tribunal processes, where he successfully appealed and reinstated his professional standing. Dr Terzi has had a multitude of stalkers harass his clinic online, where he was extorted and endured a prison sentence for a factually incorrect crime. Dr Terzi was victim to the CEO of AHPRA issuing a first ever public statement under new laws, that destroyed his clinic and left hundred of patients without treatment.
At no point in any of this process was there received adequate clinical support that was so desperately needed by the regulator. Dr Terzi believes no clinician should have to endure these trials alone, and that is why this organisation exists, to help other clinicians in their hardest period.
Professional Mission
Dr Terzi's experiences across clinical practice, hospital systems, and regulatory processes have shaped his commitment to supporting other healthcare professionals. He is particularly focused on helping practitioners navigate complex professional environments, make informed decisions, and build sustainable, resilient careers.
He founded Health Practitioners Help to provide independent, third-party advisory support for healthcare professionals during challenging periods of their careers, with a focus on clarity, structure, and long-term stability.
His work is grounded in the belief that healthcare professionals benefit from objective guidance, particularly when navigating high-pressure clinical, professional, or administrative challenges.
